Aspire is a new technology that simplifies the development of distributed applications—whether you deploy locally or run in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Aspire provides tools, integrations, and orchestration capabilities. With Docker behind the scenes, it’s easy to provision all the services required during development locally—for applications built with .NET as well as other technologies like Python. In this workshop you’ll learn Aspire’s features so you can either migrate existing services to Aspire or build new services with it.

.NET 8 is the latest version of .NET with Long Term Support (LTS). With .NET you can develop Windows and Web applications, mobile applications, and applications for devices. In this workshop you will learn the syntax of C# including new features of C# and core libraries that are needed for both Windows/Linux and web application development.

With each new C# version, new features are added. This is also the case in C# version 14. It is the same with .NET. The latest LTS version of .NET is version 10. .NET 10 brings a variety of enhancements. Two of the most important are Native AOT and Source Generators.

It is the evolution of the popular Xamarin.Forms framework, with a more flexible architecture and improved support for new platforms. The framework includes a rich set of UI controls, layout elements, and navigation patterns that are optimized for each platform, ensuring that your app looks and feels great everywhere.

Uno Platform is a software development platform that enables cross-platform applications for various operating systems such as iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and the web. With Uno Platform, developers can create native applications that work seamlessly on all supported platforms and reach their full potential. Uno Platform uses the XAML syntax from WinUI and provides developers with a unified interface for developing applications for different platforms. The platform is open source and available on Github, allowing developers to actively participate in the further development of the platform and develop their own extensions and applications.

WPF is now the preferred technology for writing desktop applications for Windows - as soon as operating system versions older than Windows 10 need to be supported. In this workshop you will learn the basics of XAML. You will learn how to create appealing user interfaces, dialogs with validation, storing data in the database and calling API services. In this workshop you will not only learn how to create WPF applications - with the help of the MVVM pattern you will learn how to share as much code as possible with different UI technologies, e.g. WinUI and MAUI.

This training provides a comprehensive introduction to modern web development with HTML5, current JavaScript standards (ES2024), and CSS3. The fundamentals taught are essential for developing modern web applications, Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), and Single Page Applications (SPAs). The following topics from modern frontend development are covered: Semantic HTML5, modern CSS layout techniques (Grid, Flexbox), ES2024+ JavaScript features, component-based development, state management, build tools and modern development workflows, performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and modern Web APIs. The training uses current best practices and modern development tools such as Vite, TypeScript, and modern browser APIs. It demonstrates how principles and technologies of modern web development are applied to create scalable and maintainable web applications.

Hardly any application can do without access to the database. In this workshop you will learn the features of Entity Framework Core (EF Core) for practical use in both web and Windows applications. You will also get an insight into Azure technologies for storage like SQL Database, Table Storage, as well as Azure Cosmos DB.

Modern distributed applications need clearly defined service boundaries, robust communication patterns, and a reliable foundation for security, observability, scalability, and deployment. This hands‑on training shows how to design, implement, test, and operate high‑quality HTTP, streaming, and event‑driven services with ASP.NET Core 10 and the .NET 10 stack (including .NET Aspire)—on‑premises or in cloud environments (Azure, Kubernetes, container platforms). You will learn REST, gRPC, SignalR, event and background processing scenarios as well as production‑ready aspects such as authentication, authorization, rate limiting, resilience, telemetry, and performance tuning (Native AOT, trimming, profile‑guided optimization).

To enable easy code reusability and testability of XAML-based applications, the MVVM pattern (Model-View-ViewModel) was created. This pattern allows easy code reuse between WPF, WinUI, MAUI, etc. In this workshop we will start with an introduction to the MVVM pattern. However, the MVVM pattern alone does not solve the application architecture of XAML-based applications. The MVVM pattern requires additional features and patterns which will be covered in this workshop. You will learn how views are connected to ViewModels, scenarios like master/detail views, validation of input, and more.

ASP.NET Core is part of modern .NET and is used to develop modern web applications. In this workshop you will learn about the new ASP.NET Core framework and develop web applications that can be hosted on IIS, Apache, the new Kestrel Server, and other servers. You will learn how to use ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Pages, the new Minimal API, and Real-Time Communication with SignalR.
